Overview 

The IMR 5000 is a state-of-the-art continuous flue-gas monitoring system, and is designed for a wide variety of flue-gas monitoring applications. The IMR 5000 is a stand-alone analyzer that works automatically. The rugged wall mounted enclosure meets NEMA type 4X (IP65) standards. The modular approach of the IMR 5000 allows one or more gases (up to 8) to be measured simultaneously. The IMR 5000 uses the latest sensor technology from electro-chemical sensors up to NDIR benches. The system can analyze samples taken from up to 4 different sampling points. This sequential measurement is only possible with the addition of multiple gas sampling and conditioning devices (IMR 400). The IMR 5000 offers various outputs such as a serial interface (RS232/RS485), an analog output (volt / current) and an alarm (relay). All of the above features allow the IMR 5000 to be configured for a variety of applications and can easily be upgraded in the future.

Overview

The multi-component gas analyzer SWG 300-1 is based on extractive, cold-dry method and uses NDIR modules, which measure continuously, selectively and highly accurately within the ppm range. NO2 is catalytically converted into NO for true NOx measurements. Oxygen analysis is based on zirconium oxide cell, paramagnetic cell or “long-life” electrochemical cell.

AR600 Series – Opsis Gas Monitoring System

Overview

In a DOAS system, an emitter projects a light beam to a receiver. In an industrial application the beam crosses a stack or flue duct. This absorbs light of specific gases from well-known parts of the spectrum, the ultraviolet, visible as well as infrared wavelengths. The light goes through the receiver and is transferred into Opsis analyser through an optical fibre cable. The absorption is recorded by a computer-controlled spectrometer. The computer also records the results either for immediate presentation or for future analysis.

The measurement data, along with other information, are stored in the analyser and available for fast processing, analysis and presentation using the user-friendly software packages from Opsis.

The CEM500 is an extractive online gas analyser dedicated to Continuous Emission Monitoring

Overview

This new model is based on a 2048 pixels CCD (charge-coupled device) giving a higher resolution (0.1 nm) and a longer lamp  life time (3 years). It is based on UV spectroscopy that brings a higher sensitivity than infra-red and gives the possibility to measure several gases simultaneously. A high selectivity is achieved by a fast Fourier transform (FFT) on the absorbance spectrum for all the gases having a periodic structure like NH3, SO2, NO and others. All the internal gas circuit is heated at 190°C to admit directly hot and humid combustion gases. The CEM500 is presented in a IP65 wall mounted enclosure. This model may include a heated sampling pump as an option.

UV Spectroscopy Method

  • Several gases can be measured simultaneously thanks to the UV spectroscopy method by using different wavelengths and algorithms. For gases with a periodic absorption spectrum such as NH3, SO2, NO, CS2 or acetylene, an algorithm based on FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) guarantees a very good selectivity of measurement. The solid-state design due to the UV spectroscopy gives a high reliability of the measuring system with quite no maintenance.
  • The UV lamp is a xenon flash lamp with a high lifetime and without thermal effect that may generate measurement drift.
  • The gas flow cell has two quartz windows to transmit the UV light throught the measured gas. The standard path length of the flow cell is 240 mm.
  • The spectrograph is based on a concave grating to minimize the optical parts and the spectrum is read on a 2048 pixel CCD with a resolution of 0.1nm.
  • A zero is done automatically on zero air or nitrogen with an adjustable period (if possible every 2 or 4 hours but once per day remains acceptable).
  • The absorbance spectrum is calculated from the reference spectrum acquired during the zero step.

Overview

The BA 5000 gas analyzer can measure up to 4 gas components. The instrument can be configured a maximum of three infrared gases usch as CO, CO2 , NO, SO2 or CH4 plus the measure of O2 with an electrochemical fuel cell. For oxygen analysis, the BA5000 can be equipped with either electrochemical of paramagnetic measuring cells.

ULTRAMAT 23

With its multi-component design with NDIR technology for the measurement of up to three IR active constituents and optional electrochemical cells for O2 and H2S measurement, the ULTRAMAT 23 is extremely  innovative and space saving.

The integrated automatic calibration function using ambient air is a unique advantage. A check with calibration gases is necessary once a year only.

Menu-guided operation with plain text allows users and service personnel to operate the device immediately. The information in the logbook allows preventive maintenance.

The multi-layer detectors used guarantee high selectivity and reduced water vapour interference. The measuring cells used are robust and resistant and can easily be cleaned in case of faults pollution, induced by faults in the sample preparation leading to soiling. The sample cell is robust and can be easily cleaned.

The electrochemical oxygen sensor is used for determining the O2 reference value, and the hydrogen sulfide sensor means that the ULTRAMAT 23 can also be used for applications in biogas plants.
